Maintenance Technician 2 - Westchester

Summary

Lead and perform maintenance and preventive work to ensure a safe, well-maintained store environment across multiple stores. Support the Facility Manager by troubleshooting HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, vertical transportation, and building systems while mentoring other technicians and coordinating with vendors and store leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform on-demand and scheduled preventive maintenance on critical and non-critical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues for store operations and building systems.
• Operate and monitor building controls and EMCS for alarm troubleshooting and verification.
• Conduct equipment rounds, readings, and document system malfunctions and mitigations.
• Perform manual labor tasks including lifting, loading, and moving materials.
• Assist with parts ordering, PO creation, vendor management, and meeting participation.
• Update the CMMS to maintain maintenance procedures and equipment historical records.
• Respond to location emergencies and coordinate work with outside contractors and property managers.
• Promote and follow safety procedures including LOTO, PPE, ergonomics, and working at heights.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational or associate degree preferred.
• 5-7 years hands-on facilities experience with emphasis on mechanical maintenance.
• 5+ years conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 5+ years experience with HVAC, refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot low voltage signals and logical device I O functions.
• Proven ability to work without supervision and meet multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to mentor others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CMMS, and ordering systems such as Coupa.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and off hours and lift 50 lbs or more.
