Maintenance Technician Coordinator

Summary

Lead maintenance associates in troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance of material handling systems and facility equipment at a distribution center. Oversee work planning, assign and direct tasks, support project implementation, and train team members while ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Use the CMMS to document maintenance activities and parts usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train maintenance associates and assign work orders and PM schedules
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, sorters, electrical panels, balers, lifts, and lighting
• Work on PLC controls and system peripherals including Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Rockwell
• Ensure compliance with Lock-out/Tag-out, Arc Flash, and other safety requirements
• Conduct daily facility walkthroughs, note deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions
• Document maintenance and parts usage in Maximo (CMMS)
• Assist in project management and work alternate schedules or weekends as needed

Requirements

• Associate degree preferred or four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• In-depth knowledge of distribution material handling systems, sorters, electrical switchgear, UPS, and fire protection systems
• Experience with PLC programming and Allen-Bradley/Siemens/Rockwell controls preferred
• Ability to read technical documentation, use CMMS, and perform basic calculations
• Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet and lift/move up to 75 lbs
