Maintenance Technician I - Fashion Island

Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I supports safe, well-maintained store environments across multiple Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. Under close supervision, this role performs preventive maintenance and assists with troubleshooting building systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance, on-demand requests, inspections, and building rounds.
• Assist with troubleshooting and basic repairs to plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and respond promptly to customer requests and emergencies, escalating when needed.
• Follow safety procedures, applicable codes, and company requirements while performing maintenance and manual labor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training.
• Basic working knowledge of trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, or cooling.
• Entry-level proficiency with power tools; ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
• Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Excel.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours; ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders.
