Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I supports a safe, well-maintained environment across Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations. The role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance, service requests, inspections, and building rounds.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing building systems, equipment, lighting, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and respond promptly to emergencies, escalating when needed.
• Follow safety procedures, applicable codes, and company directives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience or training.
• Basic proficiency with power tools and a general understanding of mechanical systems.
• Ability to follow instructions, communicate effectively, use basic computer applications, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-hours; ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical tasks.
