Job Description

Summary

As an Alterations and Tailor Shop Manager at Fashion Valley, you will lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and high-quality alterations. You will be responsible for managing the shop's operations, ensuring that all work is completed to Nordstrom's standards.

Responsibilities
  • Teach, coach, and develop employees to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Identify, recruit, and hire top talent for the shop.
  • Oversee alterations and tailoring to meet Nordstrom's guidelines and quality standards.
  • Organize department workload to ensure timely completion of items.
  • Educate employees on proper fit and shop procedures.
  • Manage office and labor expenses efficiently.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in alterations or tailoring.
  • Understanding of safe and proper equipment use in the shop.
  • Strong communication skills with co-workers and customers.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
