Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store Asset Protection teams, oversees recruiting and development, manages budget responsibilities, and executes shrinkage reduction strategy. This role ensures safety and security of employees, prevents theft, supports profitability, and partners with cross functional store leaders to align protection efforts with business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance oversight
- Execute company shrink reduction programs and directives within the building
- Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness education
- Monitor and document AP incidents and case management accurately
- Leverage data to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Partner with store leadership including Store Manager, Inventory Accuracy and HR
- Lead audits, shortage reduction programs and AP awareness initiatives
- Use reporting and surveillance technologies to identify risks and control loss
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative asset protection and AP leadership
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving in high stress situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, delegation and follow through abilities
- Ability to build productive relationships with employees and leaders
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on store needs
