Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store AP teams, driving shrinkage reduction strategies, safety and security, and partnering with cross functional store leaders to support retail asset protection and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting for AP teams
- Execute company shrinkage reduction strategy and shrink program directives
- Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness efforts
- Monitor and ensure proper reporting and documentation of AP incidents and cases
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Lead investigations and case management using exception based reporting tools
- Hire and develop talent to support investigations, audits and shortage reduction programs
- Collaborate with store leadership including Store Manager and HR on shrink impacting issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures with prior AP leadership
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong decision making, problem solving and organizational skills in high stress situations
- Ability to develop productive relationships with employees and leaders
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs
