Job Description

Summary

The Manager of Asset Protection at Mall of America is responsible for overseeing Asset Protection teams, ensuring the safety and security of employees, and executing the company's shrinkage reduction strategy. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional store leaders to enhance company profitability and align with business strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute the organizational strategy set by the AP Division.
  • Develop strong relationships within the store, including Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy, and Human Resources.
  • Act as the owner of building security and safety, educating the store on emergency preparedness and assisting in safety incidents.
  • Monitor and communicate all reports to ensure proper documentation of AP incidents and cases.
  • Leverage data to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft.
  • Lead execution of company shrink program and directives, including shrink reduction plans.
  • Hire and develop talent to support investigations, auditing, and AP awareness programs.
  • Utilize reporting to identify risks and mitigate issues to reduce loss and maximize profitability.
Requirements
  • Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in high-stress situations.
  • Strong written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer proficiency, including use of monitoring and surveillance technologies.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
  • Flexible schedule based on department and store needs.
