Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises the store Asset Protection team, driving shrinkage reduction, safety and security, and alignment with business strategy. This role leads recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting while partnering with cross functional store leaders to support retail asset protection operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance management
- Execute company shrinkage reduction program and directives
- Oversee building security, emergency preparedness, and employee safety
- Monitor and ensure proper reporting and documentation of AP incidents and cases
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Lead investigations and case management for incidents of theft and dishonesty
- Collaborate with Store Management, Inventory Accuracy, Human Resources and other leaders
- Manage budgeting and resource allocation for AP functions
- Promote AP awareness programs and system controls
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures with prior AP leadership
- Familiarity with Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management software
- Strong communication, written skills, and ability to build productive relationships
- Decision making and problem solving skills in high stress situations
- Organizational, delegation and follow through abilities
- Computer proficiency and use of monitoring and surveillance technologies
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs
