Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store AP teams including recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting. This role executes shrinkage reduction strategy, ensures safety and security of employees, prevents theft, partners with cross functional store leaders and leverages data to drive loss prevention and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance management
- Execute company shrink program and directives to reduce theft and dishonesty
- Own building security and emergency preparedness and assist in safety incidents
- Monitor and ensure AP incidents and cases are reported and documented properly
- Use data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Partner with store leadership including Store Manager, Service Experience, Inventory Accuracy and Human Resources
- Lead shortage reduction programs, audits and AP awareness initiatives
- Leverage case management and exception based reporting tools
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative asset protection and prior AP leadership
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving under high stress
- Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Ability to develop productive relationships with employees and leaders
- Computer proficiency and experience with monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on store needs
