Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store Asset Protection teams, overseeing recruiting, development, performance, and budgeting while executing shrinkage reduction strategy. This role ensures safety and security of employees, prevents theft, partners with cross functional store leaders, and leverages data to drive loss prevention and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance oversight
- Execute company shrink program and implement shrink reduction plans
- Serve as owner of building security and emergency preparedness
- Monitor and ensure proper reporting and documentation of AP incidents and cases
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate theft risks
- Lead internal and external investigations and case management
- Partner with store leadership including Store Manager, Inventory Accuracy and Human Resources
- Implement AP awareness programs and system controls to reduce loss
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative asset protection and security procedures with prior AP leadership
- Knowledge of Exception Based Reporting tools and Case Management Software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with colleagues and customers
- Decision making and problem solving skills in high stress situations
- Strong organizational, delegation and follow through abilities
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs
