Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store AP teams, leading recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting while executing shrinkage reduction strategy. This role ensures safety and security of employees, prevents theft, supports profitability, and partners with cross functional store leaders to align AP activities with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance management
- Execute company shrink program and develop shrink reduction plans
- Lead investigations into theft and dishonesty and oversee case documentation
- Own building security and emergency preparedness and assist in safety incidents
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Coordinate with store leadership, inventory accuracy and human resources on shrink impacting subjects
- Manage monitoring and surveillance technologies for loss prevention
- Ensure proper reporting of AP incidents and case management
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative asset protection and prior AP leadership
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving under high stress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, delegation and follow through abilities
- Ability to develop productive relationships with employees and leaders
- Computer proficiency and experience with monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on store needs
