Manager - Asset Protection

Summary

The Manager of Asset Protection supervises the store asset protection team, executing shrinkage reduction strategy and ensuring safety and security of employees and merchandise. This leader partners with cross functional store leaders to drive investigations, loss prevention programs, and data driven initiatives to maximize profitability and align with business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop asset protection team members including recruiting and performance oversight
• Execute company shrink program and shrink reduction plans
• Lead and manage internal and external theft investigations and case documentation
• Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness education
• Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate loss risks
• Collaborate with store leadership, HR, inventory accuracy and service teams on shrink issues
• Manage scheduling and flexible hours to meet department and store needs

Requirements

• Proven experience in asset protection, investigative and security procedures
• Prior leadership experience in asset protection or loss prevention
• Familiarity with exception based reporting tools and case management software
• Strong decision making, problem solving and written communication skills
• Ability to build productive relationships with employees and leaders
• Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
