Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store Asset Protection teams, leading recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting while executing shrinkage reduction strategy. This role is responsible for safety and security of employees, theft prevention, partnering with cross functional store leaders and leveraging data to mitigate loss and support profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance management
- Execute company shrink reduction program and directives within the store
- Partner with store leaders in areas such as Inventory Accuracy and Human Resources on shrink impacting subjects
- Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness and assist in safety incidents
- Monitor, report and document AP incidents and cases accurately
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Lead internal and external investigations and case management activities
- Implement shortage reduction programs and AP awareness and system controls
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures with prior AP leadership
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving in high stress situations
- Excellent written and oral communication and ability to build productive relationships
- Strong organizational, delegation and follow through skills
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work a flexible schedule
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
