Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store asset protection teams, driving shrinkage reduction and ensuring safety and security of employees and merchandise. This role partners with store leadership to execute loss prevention strategies, lead investigations, and leverage data to mitigate theft and operational risk. The manager is responsible for recruiting, developing, and overseeing AP team performance and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of organizational and shrink reduction strategies for the store
- Supervise hiring, development, and performance of asset protection team members
- Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness
- Monitor and ensure accurate reporting and documentation of AP incidents and cases
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Lead investigations into theft and dishonesty and manage case workflows
- Implement shortage reduction programs and AP awareness initiatives
- Collaborate with cross functional store leaders including Store Management and HR
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures with leadership experience
- Knowledge of exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills in high stress situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on store needs
