Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection supervises store Asset Protection teams, leading recruiting, development, performance oversight and budgeting while executing shrinkage reduction strategy. This role ensures safety and security of employees, prevents theft, supports profitability and partners with cross functional store leaders to align AP activities with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop Asset Protection team members including hiring and performance management
- Lead execution of company shrink program and shrink reduction plans
- Act as owner of building security and emergency preparedness and assist in safety incidents
- Monitor, report and document AP incidents and cases using case management tools
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Partner with Store Manager and other store leaders on shrink impacting subjects
- Oversee auditing, shortage reduction programs and AP awareness programs and system controls
Requirements
- Proven experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures with prior AP leadership
- Knowledge of Exception Based Reporting tools and case management software
- Strong decision making and problem solving in high stress situations
- Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills
- Strong organizational, delegation and follow through abilities
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on store and department needs
