Summary
The Manager of Asset Protection leads store asset protection teams to reduce shrinkage and ensure safety and security. This role oversees recruiting, development, performance, budgeting, investigations, and collaboration with cross functional store leaders to support loss prevention and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and develop asset protection team members including hiring and performance oversight
- Execute shrinkage reduction strategy and company shrink programs
- Lead investigations into internal and external theft and manage case documentation
- Partner with store leadership and support functions on loss prevention initiatives
- Own building security, safety, and emergency preparedness education
- Leverage data and reporting to identify trends and mitigate loss risks
- Manage budgets and department priorities to maximize profitability
Requirements
- Proven experience in asset protection, investigations, and security procedures
- Prior leadership experience in asset protection or loss prevention
- Experience with exception based reporting tools and case management software
- Strong written and verbal communication and decision making skills
- Organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs
