Job Description

Summary

As a Manager of Demand Planning at Marc Jacobs International, you will join the Global Buying, Planning and Allocation team at the New York City (SoHo) headquarters. You will play a crucial role in ensuring successful product launches and sustained business growth through agile planning and forecasting. Your analytical skills will help optimize inventory, monitor sales trends, and meet financial plans globally across all channels.

Responsibilities
  • Publish and maintain various weekly reports.
  • Conduct style-level demand planning and forecasting for top-selling items globally.
  • Highlight missed inventory opportunities and propose additional inventory needs.
  • Roll up style forecasts and identify discrepancies with top-line projections.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandizing team to align business plans and priorities.
  • Work with the Senior Director of Planning on Open-to-Buy processes.
  • Monitor inventory lifecycle and propose action plans when necessary.
  • Analyze Sell-Thrus for seasonal products.
  • Implement new forecasting and planning tools long term.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of data analysis experience, including retail planning knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at both micro and macro levels of the business.
  • Eagerness to learn.
