Summary
Lead the design and delivery of learning and development programs to strengthen organizational skills, capabilities, compliance, and performance. Own the learning strategy, develop core and position specific programs, optimize the learning management system, and partner with business leaders to ensure programs meet organizational needs and support career development.
Responsibilities
- Develop a learning strategy and framework for professional development programs at all levels.
- Consult with leaders to assess learning needs and design appropriate solutions.
- Implement and optimize the Learning Management System to enable metrics and analytics.
- Manage core learning, educational, and compliance programs and evaluate effectiveness.
- Select and test learning methodologies including social mobile microlearning and gamification.
- Create business plans and project plans for new initiatives and manage approvals and budgets.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to promote and launch programs.
- Facilitate learning programs and apply adult learning principles and evaluation techniques.
- Act as point of contact for learning inquiries and maintain policies and processes.
Requirements
- University degree in Human Resources Organizational Development or equivalent and Adult Learning Certificate preferred.
- Minimum 5 years related work experience in learning and development.
- Prior retail industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience launching or optimizing a Learning Management System.
- Experience with modern learning technologies including social mobile microlearning and gamification.
- Demonstrated group facilitation and presentation skills across all levels.
- Ability to develop stakeholder and vendor relationships and create business plans.
- Flexibility to travel within the GTA and occasionally to other provinces and be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week.
