Manager, Merchandise Operations

Summary

Responsible for overseeing back of house operational functions and front of house visual standards to ensure timely processing and presentation of merchandise, inventory accuracy, and a dynamic shopping environment. Serves as part of the store management team, leading merchandising operations, coaching associates, and prioritizing customer service. Manages inbound and outbound merchandise processes and enforces store audit standards.

Responsibilities

• Hire train and develop the Merchandise Operations team
• Oversee processing of inbound merchandise to ensure new receipts reach the selling floor on time
• Maintain inventory accuracy through oversight of inventory exception reports
• Manage outbound transfers and returns to vendors
• Direct execution of markdowns price changes re-ticketing sends repairs and sell off consolidation
• Ensure compliance with store audit standards
• Provide leadership in store communication direction and flow
• Set goals and coach associates to align with department objectives
• Perform ad hoc operational responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in retail visual or merchandising
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift and carry boxes approximately 25 - 50 lbs and move rolling equipment
• Ability to climb safety ladders approximately 6 feet
• Experience in coaching performance management and recruiting
• Strong problem solving and ability to drive results in a fast paced environment
