Job Description

Summary

The Manager, Merchandising leads in-store merchandising initiatives to drive sales, margin, and inventory productivity. This role partners with buyers, planners, and store leadership to execute assortments, promotional strategies, and visual presentation. The manager ensures product placement and inventory flow support the customer experience and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement merchandising plans to achieve sales and margin targets.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and trend data to optimize assortments and allocations.
  • Collaborate with buyers, planners, and store operations on promotions, floor sets, and markdown strategies.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and lead seasonal rollouts and resets.
  • Coach and develop merchandising associates and coordinate cross-functional execution.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of retail merchandising or planning experience, preferably in department store or specialty retail.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using sales and inventory reporting tools and Excel.
  • Proven ability to lead store-level merchandising programs and work cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
