Summary
The Merchandising Operations Manager coordinates merchandising processes and cross-functional workflows from line planning through market preparation. The role partners with retail, wholesale, design, product development, visual merchandising, and marketing teams to support strategic priorities and product execution.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate line plans, timelines, reviews, and go-to-market initiatives with internal teams.
- Prepare strategic and competitive analysis presentations and create seasonal tools and training materials for stores.
- Oversee market preparation and execution, including product information, presentation materials, and operational workflows.
- Coordinate pricing strategies and product-related needs with retail and wholesale teams.
- Participate in special projects assigned by senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in merchandising operations, retail operations, or a similar role in the fashion industry.
- Experience coordinating line plans, design reviews, and strategic presentations.
- Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and product lifecycle management.
- Proficiency with merchandising systems such as PLM, ERP, or PIM, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex priorities.
