Summary
The Account Lead is the face of the company for assigned on premise accounts across the Dallas and Fort Worth territory, responsible for cultivating relationships, driving sales volume and visibility, and managing execution with distributors and key accounts. This role requires strategic account planning, trade advocacy, and collaboration with internal and distributor partners to deliver brand priorities and programs while managing budgets and reporting on performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support distributor sales teams to achieve brand priorities and sales goals
- Oversee and monitor sales and depletion targets within the assigned market
- Sell in brands and activations to accounts and identify upsell opportunities
- Develop key account plans, track velocity and distribution, and update KPIs
- Act as consultant to accounts through education, programming, and creative initiatives
- Lead trade advocacy initiatives and maintain relationships with key accounts
- Coordinate with distributors on pricing, fulfillment, and order execution
- Execute programs and activations within brand guidelines and manage assigned budgets
- Participate in market blitzes, trade education, and Maison visits
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience
- Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience in wine and spirits
- Strong sales background with proven relationship building and influencing skills
- Experience analyzing ROI, managing budgets, and tracking distribution growth
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities
- Ability to work with all organizational levels and adapt to change
- Practical knowledge of trade marketing and experiential program execution
- Ability to lift 20+ lbs on occasion
- Authorized to work in the United States full time
