Job Description

Summary

The Operations Process Training Manager at the Upper Marlboro Distribution Center is a seasoned leader responsible for executing training programs, driving results through coaching, performance management, and monitoring results. This role involves working closely with operations managers and a team of trainers to onboard, develop, and maintain skills and processes among team members.

Responsibilities
  • Support the business strategy by driving results for overall safety, quality, and performance.
  • Lead, develop, and grow the performance of a team of trainers.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and human resource leadership to maintain focus on top business objectives and initiatives.
  • Ensure milestones and program methods and practices are being met, and address any gaps effectively.
  • Drive professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Own process improvement efforts through problem-solving, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Drive KPI metrics as well as 4DX and facility performance scorecards.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience in a managerial or training role.
  • Proven capability in identifying and implementing continuous improvement actions.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in developing others and growing leadership competencies.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Ability to analyze data and determine actions based on improvement opportunities.
  • Strong partnership and relationship development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Ability to work a varied set of times and days to meet business needs.
