Summary
Oversee real estate strategy and development initiatives across North America to support retail growth and optimize the portfolio. Lead market expansion, relocations, site selection and lease negotiations while aligning cross-functionally with Legal, Retail, Store Development, Business Development and Finance. Prepare executive-level business cases and present real estate recommendations to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Drive North America real estate and business development strategy, including site acquisition, relocations and market entry.
- Manage end-to-end expansion lifecycle: opportunity assessment, site selection, contract structuring and financial viability.
- Maintain relationships with mall operators, landlords, brokers and department store partners.
- Oversee lease portfolio management including renewals, rent benchmarking, KPIs and renegotiations.
- Prepare and deliver executive real estate updates and create executive-level decks supporting P&L and feasibility assessments.
- Coordinate with internal teams on site handovers, construction and store development; business travel as required.
Requirements
- Experience managing a retail property portfolio for a national or global brand, ideally in luxury retail.
- Proven skill in lease negotiations and securing commercially sound terms.
- Strong commercial analysis skills using market data, performance results and customer insights.
- Ability to build cross-functional relationships and present recommendations to senior leaders.
- Familiarity with retail markets across North America, location analytics and lease management tools.
- Willingness to travel for site visits, meetings and project needs.
