Manager Sales Audit

Summary

Responsible for overseeing accuracy and integrity of sales data and financial controls across retail locations in North America. Leads sales, bank, and general ledger reconciliations while supporting internal and external audit requests and partnering with retail and corporate teams. Develops and maintains sales audit procedures and drives improvements in audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly audits of sales transactions for boutiques and leased department locations.
• Identify and investigate discrepancies in sales data including pricing errors discounts deposits and returns.
• Conduct store audits related to sales operations and summarize findings with recommendations.
• Support sales to cash reconciliation process and manage outreach for discrepancies.
• Collaborate with sales accounting and IT to resolve point of sale system issues and implement procedures.
• Develop and maintain sales audit procedures documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor effectiveness of sales audit processes and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or related field required.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting auditing financial controls or retail operations.
• Experience in multi-location environments and familiarity with retail point of sale inventory management and deposit processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes financial reporting debit credit transactions and general ledger reconciliation.
• Strong internal control knowledge with emphasis on compliance and risk assessment.
• Experience with cash handling end of day reconciliation procedures for multiple payment flows.
• Strong analytical investigative and communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership.
• Highly organized with project management skills attention to detail and ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.
