Material Handler I

As a Material Handler I, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and repairing optical and sun eyewear in a fast-paced environment. You will uphold high-quality standards and ensure that our products meet the expectations of our consumers.

• Perform quality inspections to identify and repair imperfections in eyewear products.
• Maintain a well-organized work area and ensure equipment is in proper order.
• Adjust, repair, and/or replace spare parts on frames.
• Ensure products are refurbished/repaired before returning to the consumer.
• Meet and maintain high productivity levels and quality standards as assigned by the supervisor.
• Work with a small buffing machine and heater to manipulate products for repair purposes.
• Handle any additional duties assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficient manual dexterity and ability to work productively with small parts.
• Ability to work with others and resolve problems.
• Extraordinary organizational skills.
• Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by supervisors or managers.
• Ability to work in a stand/walk position for up to 10 hours.
• Basic knowledge of optics systems and working knowledge of diagnostic test equipment is preferred.
