Job Description

Summary

As a Merch Analyst at Nordstrom's Seattle headquarters, you will play a crucial role in the merchandising buying and planning organization, supporting the needs of our customers. This hybrid position requires in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, allowing you to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs, wants, and expectations, and analyze shopping behaviors by channel.
  • Conduct category, supplier, or class-specific analysis for the buying office.
  • Manage item setup by completing buying office owned item attributes.
  • Execute order writing, RTVs, reorders, and manage inventory, OTB, and pricing strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional partners.
  • Oversee drop ship feeds, including monitoring live dates and supplier communication.
  • Monitor inventory levels for upcoming features and events, addressing any concerns.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or related field.
  • 1+ years of retail/fashion merchandising experience.
  • 1+ years of data analysis experience with strong business acumen.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with business partners.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Willingness to relocate to Seattle if not currently located there, with relocation assistance provided.
