Merchandising Financial Planner

Summary

Develop and manage financial plans that align merchant vision with finance objectives and company strategy. Collaborate with cross functional partners to analyze data, produce insights, and communicate financial plans and results using clear storytelling and data visualization. Serve as a change leader to support initiatives and drive ownership of sales, margin, inventory, and turn metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage merchandise financial plans balancing merchant ambition and finance deliverables
• Collaborate with category planners, replenishment, price, and allocation to align on objectives and risks
• Analyze historical and current data and trends to generate actionable recommendations
• Produce insights and flexible business solutions to drive performance
• Communicate assumptions and results to stakeholders using storytelling and data visualization
• Support adoption of company initiatives and act as a change leader
• Influence teams to take ownership of key performance indicators like sales margin inventory and turn

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance business or related field or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of experience in merchandise planning financial planning and analysis or similar retail role
• Proficiency in Excel PowerPoint and other analytical presentation tools
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills
• Excellent communication collaboration and influencing skills
• Customer centric mindset and passion for fashion and retail
