Job Description

Summary

As a Merchandising Intern at Nordstrom, you will be an integral part of our merchandising organization, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic retail environment, with the potential for full-time employment upon graduation.

Responsibilities
  • Participate as a member of a specific buying squad, contributing to team efforts.
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs, wants, and expectations.
  • Engage in effective analysis and decision-making to improve department performance.
  • Learn the role of an entry-level merchant by working closely with expert buying teams.
  • Complete an independent impact project to present to buying and leadership teams.
  • Attend executive speaker events and engage with leadership.
Requirements
  • Active college student enrolled in an accredited institution, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, or related field, graduating in 2026 or 2027.
  • Commitment to a full-time schedule during the internship.
  • Willingness to relocate to Seattle for the 10-week summer internship and potentially for full-time employment.
  • Strong business acumen, math skills, and ability to analyze data.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
