Job Description

Summary

As a Merchandising Manager, you will manage the overall business of assigned categories through your partnership with retail planners, boutique Directors, and Paris headquarters to meet financial goals by maximizing business opportunities. This role is based in New York and reports to the Director of Merchandising.

Responsibilities
  • Execute seasonal strategies for categories that meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Review and react to weekly business trends based on sales and feedback from each market.
  • Ensure timely delivery of outstanding orders and provide updates to boutiques.
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative research to determine seasonal assortments and promotional strategies.
  • Conduct seasonal competitive analysis on key products for senior management and headquarters in Paris.
  • Develop training tools in partnership with the training department to assist boutiques with sales performance.
  • Interact with boutiques to ensure proper product flow and process inter-boutique transfers.
  • Monitor boutique stock levels for optimal product mix and recommend actions to support sales.
  • Develop and monitor sales/stock reporting tools to identify opportunities to offset risk or exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with store directors during the buy (Podium) to ensure optimal product assortment per boutique.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail buying, product management, or merchandising with a strong brand identity.
  • Proven analytical ability to synthesize data from different systems to understand business trends.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Results-driven with strategic, conceptual, and innovative thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster inter-departmental relationships.
  • Proven excellence at meeting long and short-term deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; advanced Excel user preferred.
  • French language skills are a plus but not required.
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills.
