Mold Cutter Apprentice

As a Mold Cutter Apprentice at Tiffany & Co. in Cumberland, RI, you will learn to produce fine jewelry by cutting rubber molds from a master model to support the lost wax casting process. You will work under experienced professionals to gain skills in mold making, wax injection, and process improvements.

• Consistently follow safe work procedures and report safety issues promptly.
• Train under an experienced Mold Cutter to produce natural and silicone rubber molds using standard techniques and equipment.
• Prove out models using standard wax injection equipment and learn inspection criteria for quality standards.
• Assist with resolving waxing process problems and learn sprue designs from a Process Engineer.
• Hand solder sprues onto wax parts for complex geometry.

• Good English communication skills, including reading and understanding safety manuals and procedures.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate math and computer skills.
• Experience with hand-craft work is preferred.
• Fluent English and good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and possess interpersonal skills.
