The National Makeup Artist represents the brand as a lead ambassador, driving makeup strategy, trend innovation, and exceptional client experiences while achieving sales targets and supporting field teams. This role delivers high-level makeup services, mentors retail staff, creates digital content, and travels extensively to support retail partners and events.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-store and remote selling and personalized consultations to meet client needs
- Achieve retail sales targets and contribute to monthly KPIs
- Build and maintain client relationships through CRM and clienteling activities
- Provide expert makeup services and lead high-profile artistry events and photoshoots
- Coach and mentor field staff on makeup application and sales techniques
- Create content for digital platforms and support social media engagement
- Implement merchandising guidelines and collaborate with visual merchandising teams
- Complete operational and administrative tasks accurately and maintain grooming standards
- Travel extensively to support stores, events, and retailer partnerships
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years of comprehensive makeup artistry experience
- At least three years of management experience in makeup artistry
- Proven luxury retail sales experience and client engagement skills
- Strong social media presence and content creation abilities
- Backstage and editorial makeup experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel approximately 70 percent of the time
