Summary
Entry level network security engineer supporting design implementation and maintenance of network security infrastructure and assisting with integration and management of loss prevention technologies such as IP cameras and NVRs. Role emphasizes learning foundational technical skills operational discipline and collaboration within a corporate hybrid environment. Candidate will participate in on call rotations and work onsite at corporate headquarters a minimum of four days per week.
Responsibilities
- Support deployment configuration and lifecycle management of on premises and cloud security systems including firewalls load balancers and VPNs
- Assist implementation and optimization of loss prevention systems such as IP cameras NVRs and analytics platforms
- Help deploy and tune observability platforms to monitor performance and system health
- Use tools such as Splunk to extract actionable insights from security event and system metrics
- Develop basic automation scripts or utilities using Python JavaScript or Go
- Use Git or GitHub for version control and collaborative development
- Participate in on call rotations to respond to production and security incidents under senior guidance
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Foundational understanding of networking server infrastructure cloud platforms or containerization from coursework labs or projects
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python JavaScript or Go
- Familiarity with Git GitHub and exposure to IaC frameworks like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Experience or academic exposure to AWS Azure or GCP
- Familiarity with container ecosystems such as Docker and Kubernetes preferred
- Demonstrated communication collaboration and problem solving skills
