Operations Associate - Ala Moana

As an Operations Associate at Ala Moana, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the store's inventory and stock areas according to company standards. Your responsibilities will include minimizing stock loss, organizing records, ordering supplies, and safeguarding company assets through proper inventory control procedures.

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of shipping and receiving functions affecting store inventory.
• Maintain an orderly stock and receiving area, ensuring merchandise is properly ticketed and sensored.
• Process inbound freight, returns-to-vendors, chargebacks, transfers, and damages according to company policies.
• Support compliance with company policies and standards, including safekeeping of funds and property.
• Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss.
• Communicate with central distribution and corporate inventory control department.
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Complete price changes within the boutique.
• Pack or wrap customers’ merchandise as needed.
• Contribute to problem-solving and service improvement in the receiving area.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Participate in store meetings and training seminars.

• Ability to handle receiving operations effectively, including proper handling of merchandise.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete documentation.
• Proficiency in processing information and merchandise through computer systems.
• Ability to adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Capability to operate necessary equipment, including phone systems and inventory-control systems.
• Willingness to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy lifting.
• Previous retail stock, shipping, or receiving experience.
