Operations Associate

Summary

The Operations Associate is a part-time, in-store role responsible for directing the movement of all pre-sale merchandise entering and exiting the store and ensuring shipping and receiving policies are implemented. The role maintains inventory accuracy and organization, supports the sales team with stock not on the sales floor, and assists with fixture and facility maintenance. The associate participates in inventories and cycle counts, processes transfers and shipments, and manages client deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory in an efficient, clean, secure, and organized fashion
• Support sales staff by locating and providing merchandise not on the sales floor
• Anticipate merchandise maintenance and storage needs and provide proactive solutions
• Ensure all merchandise is ticketed and packaged to house standards
• Support visual merchandising and operations by moving and storing fixtures, furniture, merchandise, and props
• Coordinate facility and fixture maintenance, cleaning, and repairs as required
• Prepare for and complete inventories and cycle counts; participate in inventory reconciliation
• Manage and process inter-store transfers, stock rotations, and incoming/outgoing shipments per policies
• Complete paperwork related to inventory maintenance (damages, RTVs) and document client deliveries
• Assist on the selling floor or with other departments as requested by management

Requirements

• Business school or university degree, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of retail experience focused on stock or inventory, preferably in a luxury setting
• Computer literate and able to learn and use various software packages
• Action oriented, result driven, customer service oriented with strong oral and written communication skills
• Foreign languages a plus
