Summary
The Operations Associate directs movement of pre-sale merchandise entering and exiting the store and ensures shipping receiving policies and procedures are implemented. This role maintains inventory accuracy, supports sales and visual teams, and assists with facility and fixture maintenance to uphold store standards.
Responsibilities
- Direct movement of all pre-sale merchandise entering and exiting the store
- Maintain inventory in an efficient, clean, secure, and organized fashion
- Support sales staff by locating and providing merchandise not on the sales floor
- Manage and process inter-store transfers stock rotations and incoming outgoing shipments
- Participate in preparation and completion of inventories and cycle counts
- Handle paperwork relative to inventory maintenance such as damages and returns to vendor
- Support visual merchandising operations with moving and storage of fixtures furniture and props
- Manage client delivery process including packaging documentation and troubleshooting missing deliveries
- Assist other departments and the selling floor as requested by management
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a retail setting with focus on stock or inventory
- Experience preferably in a luxury retail environment
- Business school university degree or equivalent experience
- Computer literate with ability to learn various software packages
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Action oriented and result driven with problem solving abilities
- Customer service oriented with social perceptiveness
- Ability to coordinate facility cleaning and repairs when required
- Foreign languages a plus
