Summary
Part Time Operations Associate responsible for directing movement of pre-sale merchandise, ensuring shipping and receiving policies are followed, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting store operational and merchandising needs in a luxury retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments and process inter-store transfers
- Maintain inventory in an efficient, secure, and organized manner
- Support sales staff by locating and preparing merchandise not on the sales floor
- Prepare and participate in inventories and cycle counts and assist with reconciliation
- Ensure merchandise is ticketed and properly packaged for clients
- Manage client delivery process and document deliveries, troubleshoot missing items
- Support visual merchandising and move fixtures, furniture, props, and merchandise
- Coordinate facility and fixture maintenance and cleaning as required
- Complete paperwork related to damages, returns to vendor, and inventory procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years retail experience with focus on stock or inventory
- Experience in a luxury retail setting preferred
- Business school, university degree, or equivalent experience
- Computer literate and able to learn various software packages
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented with social perceptiveness
- Action oriented and result driven with problem solving skills
- Ability to support multiple departments and assist on the selling floor as needed
