Operations Associate - Yorkdale Shopping Centre

Summary

The Operations Associate at Yorkdale Shopping Centre supports store operations and client service across the service desk, order fulfillment and merchandising. This part-time role handles POS transactions, cash functions, e-commerce and in-store transfers, BOPIS, and on-floor logistics. The associate helps maintain merchandise standards, supports inventory activities and provides occasional sales-floor assistance to ensure an excellent client experience.

Responsibilities

• Process client transactions accurately through the POS and maintain client records.
• Perform daily cash handling (open/close registers, prepare sales envelopes and bank deposits) and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Pick and fulfill e-commerce and IST orders, support BOPIS operations and achieve targeted pick rates.
• Support on-floor logistics including markdowns, re-ticketing, re-tagging, restocking and seasonal display changes.
• Assist with inventory preparations and counts and maintain overall stock levels.
• Provide service desk client support, basic resolution and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Support sales floor and ad-hoc projects as required to deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment, in a customer-facing role.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, merchandising, order fulfillment and inventory management.
• Service desk or client-facing experience with a strong service orientation.
• Demonstrated interest in retail technology and ability to use systems to support operations.
• Strong multitasking, teamwork and communication skills to manage busy service periods.
