Job Description

Summary

The Operations Coordinator leads back-of-house operations within a luxury retail store and acts as a key holder and manager on duty when management is unavailable. The role coordinates order fulfillment, inventory management, client service activities and daily operational tasks to support sales goals. The Coordinator ensures compliance with internal controls, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports a high-quality in-store client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform back-of-house operations including order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and replenishment.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, transfers, and merchandise replenishment.
  • Act as key holder and manager on duty; open and close the store as needed.
  • Coordinate client service activities and capture customer data to support sales and relationships.
  • Clean jewelry, take in repairs and support product care processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and partner with sales and management to resolve issues.
  • Support operational process improvements and coach team members when acting as manager on duty.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of prior retail experience in retail operations, merchandising, client service, administration or shipping.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays; organized and detail oriented.
  • Flexibility to perform varied tasks based on day-to-day business needs and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Preferred: college/university degree and Graduate Gemologist degree or prior GIA coursework.
