Job Description

Summary

Ten-week paid corporate internship providing hands-on experience in retail operations and distribution. The role focuses on time and motion analysis, productivity reporting, and supporting warehousing and fulfillment activities while developing presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan organize and lead implementation and maintenance of engineered time standards for fulfillment and distribution activities
  • Partner with operations management to identify needs and develop solutions using data collection analysis and reporting
  • Work with operations and process teams to identify and document best practices in facility operations
  • Develop and interpret productivity reporting tools for fulfillment and distribution centers
  • Conduct time studies and develop time standards
  • Generate methods and ideas for process improvement and support implementation
  • Communicate regularly via meetings feedback and written communications about performance and procedures
  • Lead projects as requested

Requirements

  • Junior class rank or above pursuing a degree in industrial engineering or a quantitative major
  • Experience with time and motion analysis tools and time standard development
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel Access PowerPoint and Word
  • Willingness to spend time on the warehouse floor and work with employees
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and deliver results with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project or AS/400 systems is a plus
  • Available for the entire duration of the 10-week internship
