Summary
The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day boutique operations to ensure compliance, operational excellence, inventory control, and efficient transactional support. This role leads and develops the Operations team, implements policies and procedures, partners with boutique management and regional leadership, and drives KPI performance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure understanding and execution of Maison policies and procedures within the boutique
- Implement and maintain efficient opening and closing procedures
- Oversee product movement including shipments, transfers, consignments, and in-boutique handling
- Ensure proper packing, shipping, and receiving procedures for high value items
- Oversee financial transaction accuracy and timely paperwork submission
- Manage inventory control processes including daily weekly monthly counts and stock movements
- Partner with management to monitor operating costs and resource allocation
- Lead boutique audits and implement corrective action plans
- Act as key user for operational tools and support rollouts and training
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business related field
- 5 minimum years operations management experience in luxury retail environment
- Experience leading leaders and managing direct reports
- Excellent computer skills including strong Microsoft Office abilities, especially Excel; SAP knowledge preferred
- Strong analytical organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Availability to work retail hours including evenings weekends and travel as needed
- High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks accurately
- Demonstrated ability to train develop and motivate teams and drive operational initiatives
