Operations Manager - Distribution Center

Summary

The Operations Manager oversees distribution center operations to achieve safety, quality, and performance objectives. This role leads and develops warehouse teams, drives continuous improvement efforts, and manages operational results through coaching and performance management. The manager is accountable for budget oversight and implementing corrective actions to meet financial and KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow a team of approximately 20 warehouse associates.
• Recruit, select, onboard, and train staff to meet operational needs.
• Coach, counsel, and manage performance to drive associate results and accountability.
• Own process improvement initiatives through problem-solving and project management.
• Provide annual budget information, monitor expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor and drive KPI metrics, 4DX, and facility performance scorecards.
• Utilize warehouse management systems and databases to support operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of warehouse experience in a managerial role.
• Proven ability to identify and implement continuous improvement actions that improve cost, service, and quality.
• Demonstrated capability in developing others and growing leadership competencies.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems and databases.
• Ability to analyze data and determine actions based on improvement opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
