Job Description

Summary

As an Operations Manager at Hermès Palo Alto, you will oversee all operational functions in a fast-paced, luxury retail environment. You will work closely with the Managing Director and sales team to ensure operational efficiency and support the client experience.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee inventory control, housekeeping, maintenance, and selling service associates.
  • Manage shipping and receiving department, ensuring timely movement of merchandise.
  • Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures and operational policies.
  • Coordinate with corporate departments for maintenance and IT issues.
  • Prepare and conduct evacuation drills and emergency response training.
  • Recruit and maintain a talent bank for operational positions.
  • Manage budget expectations for operational areas.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
  • Proficient in shipping and receiving, with strong computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of POS and phone systems.
  • Experience in building maintenance and emergency preparedness.
