Operations Manager

Summary

The Operations Manager oversees and directs showroom operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning, compliance with standard operating procedures, and an exceptional client experience. Reporting to the Showroom Director, this role supports sales initiatives, drives process efficiencies, and collaborates with management, visual merchandising, and the repair team. The manager is responsible for staffing, scheduling, inventory control, and loss prevention to maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily store operations including opening and closing and scheduling security.
• Oversee shipping and receiving activities, cycle counts, and inventory control.
• Supervise the Service Department and coordinate closely with the Repair Manager.
• Onboard and train new hires, complete new hire paperwork, and ensure adherence to SOPs and company procedures.
• Provide floor coverage to support sales, address and resolve client situations per company standards.
• Support visual presentation in partnership with the visual merchandising team.
• Reconcile merchandise discrepancies, re-ticket items, make price adjustments, and manage controllable expenses.
• Ensure timely processing and accurate balancing of operational functions including mail, checks, and invoices.

Requirements

• Previous experience in operations in a service-related industry.
• High school diploma or college degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; digital fluency with POS systems and SAP.
• Ability to perform opening and closing procedures and support floor coverage; flexible schedule availability.
• Organized, detail oriented, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and uphold company standards.
