Summary
The Operations Manager oversees showroom operations, ensuring standard operating procedures, systems, and tools run smoothly to deliver an exceptional client experience. This role supports sales efforts, manages daily store functions, and partners with leadership to train and onboard staff while driving process improvements and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee issues and ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Partner with management to onboard and train new hires on processes and procedures.
- Assist with floor coverage and model client interactions to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Ensure displays and visual areas meet visual direction and partner with visual merchandising.
- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing and security scheduling.
- Oversee shipping and receiving, cycle counts, and inventory control for Watches and Fine Jewelry.
- Oversee the Service Department and coordinate with the Repair manager.
- Support loss prevention efforts, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management.
- Maintain operational tasks such as reconciling merchandise discrepancies and balancing mail checks and invoices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in operations in a service related industry.
- High school degree or college degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with POS and SAP.
- Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
- Organized, detail oriented, and able to multi task in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible retail hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform opening and closing procedures.
