Job Description

Summary

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the boutique's non-selling functions to ensure smooth store operations. This role oversees shipping and receiving, inventory control, loss prevention, POS operations, facilities maintenance and assists boutique management in operational tasks. The supervisor trains and coaches associates, enforces company policies and maintains security and operational reports.

Responsibilities

  • Verify purchase orders, ticketing and validation reports for accurate inventory processing.
  • Maintain orderly receiving and stock areas and ensure merchandise is properly ticketed.
  • Participate in inventory and cycle counts and monitor transfers, damages and returns-to-vendor.
  • Train, coach and lead associates on POS procedures, returns, alterations and security protocols.
  • Oversee compliance with company policies, opening/closing procedures and store security.
  • Produce and maintain operational reports and assist with payroll management and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of retail stock/shipping/receiving experience with an operations background.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule with varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle merchandise and fixtures, including lifting.
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and availability to travel as needed.
