Job Description

Summary

As a Patient Care Coordinator at Lake Havasu Family Eyecare, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional patient experience by coordinating the daily administration of doctors, visitors, and patients. You will be instrumental in establishing the practice as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients promptly and courteously.
  • Answer telephone calls in a friendly manner.
  • Optimize patient satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Notify doctors of patient arrivals and manage appointment schedules.
  • Facilitate reminder calls for appointments and order pickups.
  • Record and update financial information and expedite third-party claims.
  • Maintain office inventory and equipment, and order supplies as needed.
  • Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Determine insurance eligibility and maintain office systems.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to company policies.
  • Work weekends and evenings as needed.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of strong customer service experience.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and organizational skills.
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Familiarity with in-store technology and office operations is a plus.
