Job Description

Summary

As a Payroll Specialist at EssilorLuxottica, you will be a key member of the North America Payroll Team, responsible for processing payroll in a high-volume, multi-state environment. You will ensure accurate and timely payrolls while maintaining strict confidentiality and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Process, balance, and transmit payrolls for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly disbursements for 40,000+ employees across the US and Canada.
  • Handle new hires, wage assignments, relocations, expatriate compensation, bonuses, commissions, direct deposits, and terminations.
  • Ensure automated timekeeping hours are processed and balanced.
  • Calculate and create out-of-sequence pay entries for corrections.
  • Manage tax and GL processes for accurate reporting and troubleshoot errors.
  • Interact with various departments and assist with payroll, tax, and benefit reconciliations and audits.
  • Create, track, and resolve service requests with third-party payroll providers.
  • Support training needs for incoming payroll staff.
  • Address inquiries from internal employees, stakeholders, or regulatory agencies.
  • Stay informed of payroll and HR policies and procedures.
  • Run employee pay detail reports as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and perform general clerical duties related to payroll.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of payroll experience required.
  • Experience with ADP’s GlobalView or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word at an advanced level.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Trustworthiness with confidential information.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Willingness to accept and drive change.
  • Strong active listening and communication skills.
