Job Description

Summary

The Planning Manager oversees divisional multi-dimensional planning and inventory management, leading a team to deliver forecasting, open-to-buy and inventory strategies that maximize full-price sales and profit. This 18-month contract role partners with merchants, buyers and cross-functional teams to drive inventory productivity, profitable sell-through and informed buying decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage divisional merchandise plans aligned to corporate strategy to maximize sales and profit
  • Develop forecasts, reforecasts and open-to-buy to manage in-season performance and inventory levels
  • Lead demand forecast and auto-replenishment model approaches and oversee related actions
  • Analyze end-of-season and in-season results to recommend markdowns, carryover and inventory actions
  • Collaborate with merchants, buyers, stores, supply chain and finance to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risk
  • Prepare and present performance analysis and reports to cross-functional audiences
  • Lead, develop and coach Planners, Assistant Planners and Allocation Analysts

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Retail Management or related field
  • 5-7 years of retail planning experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven leadership, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP and merchandise planning systems
  • Analytical, results-driven and passionate about fashion and luxury retail
